 Family Intervention & Training Services

Counseling for individuals, couples, and families is available through our Family Intervention & Training Services (FITS) program. Mental health and substance use concerns are addressed by intervening at the individual, family, work, school, community, and other systems levels. We value the cultural beliefs of each person and family and work to support and strengthen positive family functioning, increase family resilience, and alter unhelpful family patterns that affect future generations.

FITS currently serves youth and their families participating in the Juvenile Drug Court – First Circuit on Oahu. FITS also serves youth in middle and high school through the School-Based Substance Use Treatment Program.

In addition to our counseling services, FITS offers practicum placements for graduate students in mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, and other related fields. See HPCE Internships for more information. FITS also offers training and technical assistance for service providers, parents, educators, and other support systems for families and youth. See HPCE Training - Family Intervention & Training Services for more information.
