Reaching our youth through prevention programs is an essential building block for safe, drug-free communities. We believe that effective programs for developing youth resiliency provide resources for learning and personal growth, positive relationships with caring adults, and opportunities for youth and adults to partner in meaningful action.
CDFH youth programs incorporate evidence-based curriculum adapted to local cultures and settings combined with community-based efforts. Programs include gender-specific programs for girls, youth violence prevention for elementary-age children, social norms marketing program for high school youth, gender-specific program for high school-age male athletes, and substance abuse prevention programs for youth at risk.
