Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii (CDFH) was designated to become part of a revolutionary national program known as the Regional Alcohol and Drug Awareness Resource (R.A.D.A.R.) Network.  The Prevention Resource Center (PRC) was established to raise awareness, connect people to resources, and motivate people to take action to prevent drug abuse in Hawaii.  The PRC supports the implementation of effective family, youth and community-oriented programs, as well as services that foster resiliency, recovery, personal strength and healthy lifestyle choices.

The PRC houses the state’s most comprehensive collection of books, periodicals, brochures, fact sheets, and videos on drug abuse, prevention, and related issues.  The PRC Lending Library is open to the public for research or to borrow videos and books.  The PRC Clearinghouse  disseminates free informational materials, such as brochures, pamphlets, and statewide directories:

Treatment Program Directory
Prevention Directory
Speaker’s Bureau List
Fact-sheets (also downloadable in PDF format)

The PRC also distributes these materials through information booths at community events, health fairs, school events, presentations and meetings.

Anyone can come visit the PRC, but also feel free to contact us via telephone, mail or e-mail.
